Chrysanthemum/菊花 & its Benefits + Prepare your own Chrysanthemum Tea!



Chrysanthemum also known as 菊花Ju Hua is a popular Chinese herb in Asia. Well known for its floral aroma and natural coolant, Chrysanthemum has long been used in traditional medicine to treat various health issue. Note: Avoid chrysanthemum if you are allergic to ragweed, have Hypotension, breast feeding or pregnant

Chrysanthemum Tea Recipe for 2

Ingredient

  • 50g dried chrysanthemum flowers
  • 1.5 litre water
  • Ginseng Roots (optional)
  • 50g rock sugar (adjust to taste)

Direction:

  • Soaked chrysanthemum in water for 20 minutes.
  • Boil the water and add Chrysanthemum and Ginseng Roots
  • Add Rock Sugar to taste
  • Turn off the stove when sugar has dissolved
  • Strain the chrysanthemum flower out
  • Drink chilled or at room temperature.

Tip: Add Fructus Momordicae (Luo Han Guo – soak for 20 min) along with chrysanthemum tea to treat itchy throat and cough.
